Clutch Gaming Arena has announced that it will hold a $15,000 CS:GO tournament at Clutch Con in early 2015.

From January 30 to February 1, Denver will play host to Clutch Con, a three-day multi-game computer and console LAN event held by Clutch Gaming Arena, an eSports company based in Colorado.

The CS:GO tournament, featuring a $15,000 prize pool, will be run together with CEVO and feature 16 teams from all over the world. It will be a mixed competition, which means that invitations will be extended to female teams.

With Clutch Con taking place the weekend after X Games in Aspen, the organisers of the event are hopeful they will be able to attract the European teams that will be in action in MLG's tournament.

Not all teams taking part in Clutch Con's CS:GO tournament will be invited by the organisation: two will come from an open North American online qualifier, hosted by CEVO, while one will be determined through a LAN qualifier for teams based in Colorado.
